VAT for New Housing Will Rise Next Year

Ljubljana, 25 December - Value added tax on newly built residential housing will rise to 20% on 1 January 2011 in accordance with amendments to the VAT act that end the transitional period that Slovenia secured in accession talks with the EU, during which the tax was 8.5%.
