Slovenj Gradec Gallery Intent on Keeping Its Cosmopolitan Character
Slovenj Gradec, 16 March - The art gallery in the town of Slovenj Gradec in the north of Slovenia has hosted many eminent artists in the past 50 years. Thanks to one of its founders, painter Karel Pecko, the gallery keeps what is probably the most precious piece of art in the country, a sculpture of poet Guillaume Apollinaire by Ossip Zadkine (1890-1967).
