DeSUS Grows from Pensioners' Group to Third Strongest Party

Ljubljana, 9 May - The Democratic Party of Slovenian Pensioners (DeSUS) has been a member of almost all government coalitions since its inception in 1991. Even before the 2004 surge in popularity, DeSUS often played the role of kingmaker, issuing repeated threats of withdrawals from coalitions, but realising the threat only now.
