Slovene Academy in the Memory of Its former President

Ljubljana, 13 October - SLOVENIA/ACADEMY
The Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) organized Friday a round table at 100th anniversary of birth of its former president Josip Vidmar (1895 - 1992). Ten speakers, mostly academy members, spoke about the controversial literary critic, translator and politician, who, according to SAZU Vice-President Ciril Zlobec, remains a reference point in the Slovene cultural and national history and can as such not be overlooked or denied.
