Slovenian Tax Burden Above EU Average; Labour, Consumption Taxed More

Brussels, 6 July - Slovenia's tax revenues as a share of GDP stood at 37.6% in 2009, 2 percentage points above the EU average, according to data from the EU's statistics office, which show that the country had higher implicit tax rates on labour and consumption than the average in the bloc.
