Minister: Slovenia Would Benefit from Closer Fiscal Union
Ljubljana, 18 August - Slovenia would benefit from a closer fiscal union in the eurozone, Development and European Affairs Minister Mitja Gaspari said Wednesday, in reference to a proposal by French President Nicolas Sarkozy and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Finance Minister Franc Krizanic said Thursday that most Merkel-Sarkozy ideas were close to Slovenia's views.
