Guaranteed Salary Increased by 1.7 Per Cent

Ljubljana, 19 October - GOVERNMENT/SALARIES/TELECOMMUNICATION
The Slovene Government decided to increase the Guaranteed salary from SIT 31,137 (US$ 260) to SIT 31,666 SIT. The guaranteed salary is higher by 1.7 per cent, which corresponds to the 80 per cent cumulative increase of retail prices in the period from July to September 1995. The increased guaranteed salary is retroactive to 1 October and will be in effect until the end of this year, was decided at Thursday's regular meeting of the Government.
