Parliament Elects Germic New Speaker
Ljubljana, 2 September - The National Assembly elected the 50-year-old Liberal Democrat MP Ljubo Germic the new speaker by 57 votes to 24 on Friday. He succeeds Pavel Gantar, who withdrew from the post after his Zares party moved to opposition.
