National Council President Leaves Coalition LibDems
Ljubljana, 8 September - Blaz Kavcic, the president of the National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, left the coalition Liberal Democratic Party (LDS) on Thursday, quoting "divergent views on key social, economic and political issues" between him and the party's leadership. He does not exclude the possibility of forming a new party.
