Vecer Says Committee's Decision on Pay Cut Was Expected
Ljubljana, 14 September - After stirring controversy for a week and prompting trade unions to threaten with a strike, a proposal for a 4% pay cut in the public sector was expectedly rejected by the parliamentary Finance and Monetary Policy Committee, which leaves the question of public financial stability open, the daily Vecer says on Wednesday under "No Solutions".
