Health Care Providers Cutting Waiting Periods for Patients

Ljubljana, 16 September - A year after the Health Ministry introduced regulations capping waiting periods in health care, the number of patients waiting for a treatment has nearly halved, the Public Health Institute (IVZ) said on Friday. Currently, there are a total of 42,676 people waiting for various treatments, while a year ago, the figure amounted to 83,642.
