PM Urges Confidence Vote, Says Alternative a Paralysing Crisis
Ljubljana, 20 September - PM Borut Pahor faced parliament on Tuesday with an appeal to deputies to endorse his minority government. This is "the less painful option", as the government's downfall would lead to "a political crisis that would paralyse the country for months". Judging by the subsequent debate, the government prospects of surviving the vote are fairly bleak.
