Changes to Police Legislation Pass First Reading

Ljubljana, 23 September - MPs passed at first reading on Friday two bills which are to replace the existing umbrella police act. MPs were mostly bothered by the criteria for the appointment of police commissioners and the new bonuses envisaged by the bill on police organization and work, while the bill on police tasks and powers was mostly welcomed.
