Standard & Poors Lowers Slovenia Ratings

New York, 20 October - Standard & Poors on Wednesday downgraded Slovenia's long and short-term sovereign credit ratings by one notch to AA-/A-1+ from AA/A-1+ on grounds that the country's fiscal position has deteriorated since the onset of the 2008 financial crisis and that policy makers have not yet presented a credible consolidation strategy.
