Tuerk Praises Slovenia's UN Security Council Seat Bid

Ljubljana, 25 October - President Danilo Tuerk responded on Tuesday to Slovenia's withdrawal from the race for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council by congratulating and thanking Slovenia's diplomatic representatives for the effort invested in the candidacy. According to Tuerk, ceding to Azerbaijan after 16 rounds of voting was the honourable thing to do.
