jubljana, 1 July (STA) - The Development Fund of the Republic of Slovenia (DFRS) took over the management of around one hundred companies, employing approximately 10% of the total number of employees in Slovenia's commercial sector, last October. Last year, these companies accounted for 40% of Slovenia's total business losses, said the director of the DFRS Uroš Korže in an interview today.***

Until now, the fund has mainly been engaged in assisting companies in establishing new management structures, reducing the number of employees and negotiating with creditors. The DFRS has also been active in selling redundant assets and in company privatization.
