jubljana, 23. novembra (STA) - Slovene Press on the Dayton Peace Agreement.***

Ljubljana, 23 November - Veso Stojanov, the daily Delo's New York correspondent deems Franjo Tudjman as the biggest winner of the negotiations: apart from recovering the entire Croatian territory, he also gained permanent control over BiH. Bosnian - Croatian federation will in fact be a Zagreb's satellite in the territory of BiH. The other half of the internationally recognized country will be directed from Belgrade, since one cannot possibly imagine the Serbs would in future make their decisions by themselves. In short, the Dayton agreement is nothing more than a deal between Tudjman and Miloševič on parcelling BiH, supposedly concluded as early as 1991 in Karadjordjevo. Stojanov wonders whether Bosnians will accept the status of loser. Even in case the Americans do get the Bosnian federation going, the fact remains that the Bosnians will be the only nation left to content with a fragile confederation instead of a national state, which indicates that the agreement cannot necessarily be considered an important milestone in Bosnian history, claims Stojanov.
