Govt Planning 8% Pay Cut in Public Sector, Targeting 3% Deficit

Ljubljana, 6 April - The more than EUR 1bn in cuts planned in the supplementary budget for 2012 entail a 8% pay cut for public employees, Finance Minister Janez Šušteršič has confirmed, explaining that this measure would cover approximately 25% of the EUR 800m decrease in expenditure over 2011.
