Govt, Trade Unions Make No Progress

Ljubljana, 7 May - Trade union and government officials ended yet another unsuccessful round of talks on cuts in public sector pay on Monday, agreeing to meet again in two days. Labour Minister Andrej Vizjak, who is losing hope that a consensus could be reached, told the press that there was still time to talk until Wednesday, although negotiations are not planned.
