Mercator's Net Profit Falls to EUR 700,000 in Q1

Ljubljana, 15 May - The group around retailer Mercator made EUR 19.5m in operating profit in the first quarter of 2012, while its net profit stood at EUR 700,000, down from EUR 10.18m in the same period last year. The group meanwhile generated EUR 676.1m in revenues, up 3.6% year-on-year, the company said on Tuesday.
