Carinthian Slovenes Outline Their Problems to President Kučan
Ljubljana, 5 July - KUČAN/CARINTHIA/SLOVENES
Prior to his meeting with Thomas Klestil, the Austrian leader in Carinthia, Milan Kučan, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, met in Ljubljana today with representatives of various Slovene organisations based in Austrian Carinthia. The major problems faced by the Slovene national community in Austria are related to the bilingual school system, the minority's representation in provincial bodies and a common representation of the politically diverse Slovene minority.
