National Council Marks 20th Anniversary amidst Calls for Abolition
Ljubljana, 13 June - Slovenia's National Council, the upper chamber of parliament, marked on Wednesday its 20th anniversary amidst calls for abolition of the chamber. Incumbent president Blaž Kavčič reiterated that Slovenia should seek to strengthen the two-house legislature and not think about abolishing it.
