The position of the Church in society will be regulated by a mixed umbrella committee of the Slovenian government and the Church

Ljubljana, 24 March - A mixed umbrella committee consisting of Slovenian government members and members of the Roman Catholic Church met today in the government building in Ljubljana. The committee will study and settle unresolved issues regarding the Church in Slovenia, as agreed last year at the first meeting held in November by representatives of both sides. The committee is headed by Slovenian Foreign Minister Lojze Peterle and the Church is represented by Bishop Alojz Uran.
