Kučan: "When Fundamental Issues are Concerned Rational Politics Consults its Citizens"

When encountering a wall of misunderstanding and opposition, as was the case with Slovenia in attemting to enter European integrations, politics should face the issue with utmost honesty and integrity, particularly in relation to its citizens and consult the latter on the most fundamental questions in order to establish their will, President Milan Kučan said at the Academy Thursday evening given on occasion of the country's Independence Day.
