Ceremony Marks Reunification of Prekmurje with Homeland

Velika Polana, 17 August - A ceremony was held in the village of Velika Polana on Friday, marking the reunification of northeastern-most region of Prekmurje with Slovenia in 1919. The key-note speaker, Defence Minister Aleš Hojs, stressed that Prekmurje had been the perfect example of patriotism ever since it was united with the homeland.
