NGOs File for Constitutional Review of Farmland Act

Ljubljana, 21 August - A group of six NGOs filed Tuesday a request for a constitutional review of the contentious farmland act. The NGOs say the act violates provisions of the Constitution dealing with farmland protection as well as the Aarhus Convention, which stipulates that any such changes must previously be consulted with the public.
