Speaker Rejects PS Request for Extraordinary Session

Ljubljana, 11 September - Parliament Speaker Gregor Virant said on Tuesday that the opposition Positive Slovenia (PS) would need to supplement its request for an extraordinary session of parliament. He argued the PS-proposed condemnation of PM Janez Janša's statements on Slovenia's potential liquidity problems would exceed the powers of the National Assembly.
