Economist Damijan Finds IMAD Forecast Too Optimistic

Ljubljana, 21 September - Economist Jože Damijan described Friday's downgrade by the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD) of its 2012 GDP forecast for Slovenia as still overly optimistic, predicting the actual contraction would stand at around 3%. His colleague Jože Mencinger feels the government is pursuing misguided economic policies.
