Slovenia Under Threat of a Fine over Defence Procurement

Brussels, 27 September - The European Commission asked the EU Court of Justice on Thursday to impose a fine on Slovenia over failure to fully implement EU rules on defence procurement. The proposed fine is a daily payment of EUR 7,000 from the date of the court's affirmative ruling until Slovenia notifies Brussels it has fully implemented the rules into national law.
