FinMin Defends Decision to Issue Dollar instead of Euro Bond

Ljubljana, 23 October - By issuing its 10-year bond in dollars instead of euros, Slovenia got better financing conditions, the Finance Ministry said on Tuesday about the US$ 2.25bn bond issued last Friday. It argued that the yield was approximately 20 basis points lower than it would have been if the bond were issued in euros.
