Senator Spetič: Manjšina pogreša strateški državniški pristop matice
Ljubljana, 19 January - The issue of returning houses to ethnic Italians who fled the country after WW2 ("optants") is relatively insignificant in view of the far more important question regarding Slovenia's entering EU, the question of how Slovenia as a small country should promote its interests, senator Stojan Spetič, Italy's Party of Communist Renovation (Partito della Rifondazine Comunista - PRC) member and member of the Slovene ethnic minority in Italy, stressed several times during a news conference in Ljubljana Friday. "What we miss is a strategic approach of Slovenia to its minorities abroad," Spetič said.
