Slovenian Catholic Church Happy and Surprised as New Pope Elected

Ljubljana, 13 March - The Roman Catholic Church in Slovenia is happy as Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina was elected the new pope, Slovenian bishops said in a statement late on Wednesday. Congratulations on the election of the new pontiff are also coming from other religious groups in Slovenia, where church bells were ringing for 15 minutes to welcome Francis I.
