Shares Up, Bonds Down in January

Most shares in both Ljubljana Stock Exchange listings increased in January, with nine shares going up and seven down. Listed for the first time were the Kolinska shares. The SBI share index jumped 62.90 points to 1453.24 points. Conversely, the BIO bond index declined through most of the month, closing 0.92 points down at 110.65 points, with the Abanka bond being listed for the first time. Turnover totalled SIT 6.3 billion ($47.6 million), 71 per cent of which with shares, while turnover with shares from stock exchange and external markets amounted grossed SIT 6.6 billion ($49.86 million).
