Ljubljana, 3 May - While the Slovenians were enjoying a calm holiday week, the news was broken of rating firm Moody's having downgraded Slovenia's rating to junk, a move that happened during the country's issuing of a dollar-denominated bond. The move suspended the issue for a day, but the country still managed to borrow US$ 3.5bn at the pre-downgrade interest rate.
