Pope John Paul II to Visit Slovenia from 17 through 19 May - Preparations Underway

Pope John Paul II is to pay a visit to Slovenia on the invitation of the President of Slovenia, Milan Kučan. Scheduled for 17 through 19 May, the visit, having religious as well as state character, is being jointly prepared by the national committee for the organization of Pope's visit and the church committee set up by the Slovene Bishop's Conference, with the intense preparations aimed at preparing a safe and well-organized visit, conducted in accordance with the protocol.
