Purchase Orders in Paloma Exceed Production Capabilities= Maribor, 13 February (STA) - Paloma-Sladki vrh company Acting Director Zvezdan Žlebnik presented the company's business results, its current situation and future plans. The Paloma is Slovenia's leading company in the paper industry.***

hich is 10,5 percent more than the total Paloma's revenue in 1994, 70 percent (7.2 billion SIT) of which was made on foreign markets. Currently the Paloma is present on 20 European, Asian and African markets. In 1994 the company suffered a loss of 2 billion SIT, with the loss in the first six months in 1995 totaling 2.3 billion SIT. Cumulative loss in 1995 amounted to 3.3 billion SIT, of which 2. 3 billion SIT was made in the first semester, before rehabilitation of the company started. Good results were obtained through a range of efficient and radical measures affecting buyers as well as suppliers, however further internal economy can be introduced. The liabilities of 5 billion SIT were reprogrammed with the banks and creditors. The liabilities to the employees amount to 1.5 billion SIT. It is estimated the future monthly sale could be between 12 to 14 billion D-Mark. This year the Paloma was present at the largest European paper and sanitary products fair, where great interest in its products was registered. This year's task is to proceed with the process of privatization in accordance with requirements and guidelines of the company's owner Agency for Restructuring and Privatization, added Zvezdan Žlebnik. In order to reduce the number of employees, the Paloma will offer them redundancy payment, for which 67 employees already registered and about 120 more are interested in.
