Last Year's Imports Increasing Faster Than Exports

Last year's Slovenia's exports amounted to 8.3 billion USD and the imports amounted to 9.5 billion USD, the National Statistics Office reported. Imports grew faster than exports, with their face value 21.4 percent higher than that of exports. The last year's imports increased by 29.4 percent, the deficit recording a considerable increase as well, toppling US$ 1b over 1994. The coverage of imports with exports decreased from 93 percent in 1994 to 88 percent in 1995.
