Retail Prices Up by 1 per Cent in January

Ljubljana, 20 February - Retail prices in January increased by 1 per cent compared to December 1995 and by 8.5 per cent compared to January 1995, the national Office of Statistics reported Tuesday. Goods were up by 0.7 per cent over the month before and services by 2.1 per cent. Compared to January 1995, prices of goods increased averagely by 6.7 per cent and prices of services by 16.4 per cent.
