Bizjak: Ombudsman Gains Ground After a Year in Office

Ljubljana, 25 February - TOPIC/WEEK/OMBUDSMAN
"After a year in office the institution of ombudsman has gained firm ground in Slovenia", ombudsman Ivo Bizjak said. Along with an increased number of petitions filed this year compared to 1995, the number has also increased of those petitions which actually fall into his competence, proving the institution and its functions have become well known in Slovenia.
