Suicide Deaths Increasing, But Below Levels a Decade Ago

Ljubljana, 10 September - Social stigma remains a significant hurdle in suicide prevention, so World Suicide Prevention Day, observed on Tuesday, is dedicated to raising awareness about detrimental effects of social stigma caused by mental illness. Slovenia has been seeing a slight increase in suicides since 2010, with 443 people taking their lives last year.
