Slump in Value of Bonds

Ljubljana, 3 March - LJUBLJANA/STOCK/EXCHANGE/SECURITIES
Prices of shares on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange increased slightly over the past week, the SBI index of shares going up by 22.25 point and closing the week at 1509.12 point. Contrary to shares, bonds were deep down last week. As many as 11 bonds went down and not one went up. The BIO index of bonds dropped by 2.29 point to 107.50 point, making a drop of 4.18 point in the first two months of 1996. Contrary to stock exchange listings, the external market saw, like the week before, a substantial increase both in prices and turnover with allotment warrants of the Bank of Slovenia treasury bills.
