Irish and Philippine Ambassadors Present Slovene Officials with Credentials
Ljubljana, 6 March - Irish Ambassador to Slovenia, acting from Vienna, Thelma Maria Doran presented Slovene President Milan Kučan with credentials on Wednesday. president Kučan and Ambassador Doran talked about bilateral relations and about possibilities of cooperation in the issue of European integrations. The Irish ambassador presented Slovene Foreign Minister Zoran Thaler with a copy of her credentials. As reported from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Thaler and his Irish guest emphasized the need for development of bilateral relations between Slovenia and Ireland, which share many similarities despite the distance between them. Minister Thaler briefed the Irish ambassador on efforts at Slovenia's joining European and trans-Atlantic integrations, particularly the European Union, whose chairing Ireland takes over this July.
