The majority of representatives of parliamentary parties are not thrilled with the latest proposal by Janez Janša's Social democratic Party of Slovenia (SDSS) to hold a referendum on an amendment to the election legislation from the present proportional to a majority system. Several politicians estimate the initiative as yet another SDSS's effort to gain additional political points and election votes and believe that the claims for amended legislation and consequently fair relation to the voters are not honest, writes the daily Dnevnik Thursday.
