Parliament Abolishes Instrument of Land as Debt Collateral
Ljubljana, 24 October - MPs unanimously endorsed on Thursday changes to the property law code which abolish the possibility to use land as debt collateral. The changes were proposed by the coalition Citizens' List (DL), which has pointed to the widespread abuse of the instrument for avoiding confiscation by a third party, including the state.
