Dušan Šešok: Rehabilitation of Iskra's Subsidiaries Successful

Ljubljana, 8 March - ISKRA/50TH/ANNIVERSARY
In 1995 a group of Iskra Holding companies recorded an 18 per cent real production growth, which is well above the national average, indicating successful adaptation of Iskra-controlled companies to new circumstances, Iskra Holding director Dušan Šešok told a news conference Friday, given at 50th anniversary of the company. On 8 March 50 years ago the then Heavy Industry Minister Franc Leskovšek Luka passed a decree which brought Iskra to life, at the same time giving birth to Slovene electrical industry. Starting out as a small radio receiver manufacturing plant, today Iskra includes 28 companies and employs over 8,600 workers.
