Gross Salary Up by 18.4 Percent Last Year

The average gross salary in Slovenia amounted to SIT 111,996 (approximately US$ 838) last year, totalling SIT 104,880 (approximately US$ 785) in the field of economic activities and SIT 133,678 in the field of non-economic activities. According to the National Office of Statistics, the average gross salary was up by 18.4 percent compared to 1994, with a 17.5 percent increase in economic activities and a 19.6 percent increase in non-economic activities.
