Calls for Urgent Meeting with Minister Dragonja prior to Videm's Public Auction
Ljubljana, 11 March - VIDEM/BANKRUPCITY/AUCTION
The property of the bankrupt Krško company Videm will be put to public auction on Wednesday. The opening bid is 35 million German marks. Ahead of the auction and before an extraordinary session of the Krško municipal council, assignee in bankruptcy Branko Ogorevc told the Slovene News Agency that Wednesday's auction was the fourth attempt to sell the property of the Videm paper mill. He did not wish to give information on possible buyers or the number of those who applied for the auction. The decision to set the opening price much lower than the company's valuation was taken upon the conjecture that the company's property could be sold for such price. The valuation of the company, which was established by official valuers, amounts to DM 165,273, Ogorevc said.
