Stoisits: Article 7 Remains "Magna Carta" for Minorities Protection

Ljubljana, 19 March - SLOVENIA/AUSTRIA/STOISITS/KUČAN
Member of Austrian Parliament, Burgenland Croat Terezija Stoisits, told the Slovene Press Agency after her meeting with Slovene President Milan Kučan, Tuesday, that Austria still regards Article 7 of the Austrian State Contract as a document of the international law on the Austrian minorities protection, on the basis of which Austria is obliged to deal with minority issues. The countries may sign bilateral agreements on cultural an other cooperation, however, the above article remains a "magna carta" for minorities protection.
