Austrian Writer Peter Handke in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 22 March - HANDKE/LJUBLJANA
Peter Handke, an Austrian writer of Slovene descent (his mother was Slovene), who currently lives in Paris, appeared Wednesday, after many international reactions to his publications and after various recent resounding appearances, on the stage of the Slovene National Theatre in the capital of Ljubljana in front of the Slovene audience. He presented several fragments from his latest book, often labelled as controversial, titled "Eine Winterlichereise zu den Flussen Donau, Save, Morawa und Drina oder Gerechtigkeit fuer Serbien" (A Winter Journey to the Rivers of Donau, Sava, Morava and Drina or Justice for Serbia).
