Italian Presidency in EU Hopes Slovenia Will Accept "Spanish Compromise"
Brussels, 25 March - Foreign Ministers of the European Union member countries did not discuss a conclusion of the Association Agreement between Slovenia and the EU at their meeting Monday in Brussels, Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Luigi Vittorio Ferraris in charge of European affairs told a press conference Monday afternoon. Italian Deputy Foreign Minister underlined that "the issue is simple: for several months the so called Spanish compromise or Solana document has been on the table". Mr Ferraris expressed hope that Slovenia accepts it.
